Barking is just down the road from our Dagenham yard. We take on loft conversions, extensions and full renovations across the area.
Barking has a real mix of houses. Near the town centre there are Victorian and Edwardian terraces, where the usual job is a loft conversion with a rear dormer or a side return extension to widen a narrow kitchen. Further out, towards Becontree, the houses are interwar terraces and semis that suit a rear extension and a loft room on top.
Older terraces often need more than the job you called us for. Rewiring, new heating and replastering are easier to do while the house is already opened up, and because we have our own electricians, plumbers and plasterers, we can do it all as one job instead of you booking separate trades.
Barking is in Barking and Dagenham Council, the same as our yard, so we know how they work. Many loft conversions and smaller extensions don’t need full planning permission, and we’ll tell you up front if yours does.
